Our Process
Initial Phone Contact:
We will discuss the scope of work and set a time for us to get together to look at your project. For the first meeting you will need pictures from magazines and some ideas about colors and textures for your project as well as a budget that you have in mind. You will also need to fill out the project questionnaire available on the resources page.
First Meeting:
John or one of our designers will meet with you to look at your existing space, listen to your ideas and give you our thoughts for a collaborative effort all the while keeping your budget in mind. We will then provide you a written estimate detailing the proposed scope of work and the associated costs. There is no charge for this service.
Design Details Meetings:
After you commit to working with us, we will then begin the design details phase. You will meet with the cabinet maker and designer to work out the details that will make the project uniquely yours. We will discuss the items and quantities that you will need to purchase as well as when they need to be delivered to your home. Additionally, our designers can help you with consultation and/or shopping for a fee.
Preconstruction Meeting:
2-3 days before the start of your project, we will meet to go over the estimate in detail so that we are all on the same page. We will nail down any loose ends, make any adjustments to the estimate, go over the pay schedule, timeline and also discuss all of the logistical concerns that come with people working in your home.
Construction Phase:
Communication is key and your project manager is your point of contact. We send out an email each week outlining the coming week’s schedule, when we need to meet, what subcontractors will be working and so on. We will also continually update you on deadlines for your purchases.
Project Completion:
Near the end of the project we will ask you to look over the work in detail and make a punch list. We pride ourselves in that list being very short.
